The collection consists of 1.472 photographs on 30 positive silver halide microfiche, including all of John Marco Allegro's 2,2"x2,2" negatives that are associated with Khirbet Qumran and the texts discovered there, as well as all those associoated with some other places like 'Ain Feshkha, Khirbet Mird, and Wadi Murabba'at. In addition this collection contains b/w images of all of Allegro's colour slides which depict people associated with the scrolls, all of his colour slides of the Copper Scroll, and all of his colour slides of documents. The photographs, many of which are published here for the first time, are divided into four sections: Archaeology, Biography, The Copper Scroll and Documents. The information is easily accessible thanks to a user-friendly way of organising thematerial. The catalogue labels have been carefully devised so that they instantly provide a description of the content of each photograph.
