Perspectives on Taiwan Culture. Edited by Christina Neder and Ines Susanne Schilling. 14 contributions, two of them in Chinese (with abstract in English), address the public discourse on cultural identity at the end of the 20th century which included not only the transformation from an autocratic to a democratic system but also the end of the cultural hegemony of the mainlanders on the island.
